Matthew J. Tierinni, CPA – Managing Partner
Matt is the Managing Partner at MMNT, providing the overall leadership and direction of the firm. In addition to his management duties, he enjoys working closely with his clients, taking his time to educate them to better understand their financial situations. With his experience, keen sense of business and financial expertise, he guides his clients to reduce their tax liabilities, shows them ways to analyze their current financial positions, and provides suggestions to streamline and improve their businesses and bottom lines.
In 1992, Matt received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University and began working in public accounting. He received his CPA license in 1997 and started his career at the firm. He took opportunities to gain experience at other accounting firms for a few years before rejoining MMNT in 2000, becoming a partner in 2003.
He holds memberships with the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Connecticut Society of CPAs (CTCPA).
Matt has served on local boards of nonprofit organizations and helps out with fundraising activities. He is currently on the board of UR Community Cares, Inc. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, restoring classic cars and playing cornhole.
