Karl J. Badey, CPA, MST – Member
Karl is the firm’s tax services partner. He is also responsible for human resources and education, educating the firm’s staff on current tax laws, regulation, requirements and practice standards.
Bringing more than 25 years of small and large firm experience to MMNT, he joined our firm in 2010 and became a member in 2013. His areas of expertise include tax planning, corporate and partnership tax returns, estate planning, IRS and DRS audit representation, and transaction planning for business acquisitions and business succession. He has conducted speaking engagements for civic groups, schools and client forums to present relevant tax law changes and pronouncements and has published various articles.
In 1993, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Public Accounting and Finance with minors in Economics and Music from Pace University. In 1996, Karl received his Master of Science in Taxation (MST) from the University of Hartford and received his CPA license in 1997.
Karl is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Connecticut Society of CPAs (CTCPA). He serves on various local boards of nonprofit organizations.
