New Portal: myconneCT
The State of Connecticut is transitioning to a new portal called myconneCT. The portal is being implemented in phases and effective September 2, 2020, many tax types will no longer be available in the Taxpayer Service Center (TSC). The tax types that will no longer be available in the TSC are:
- Sales and Use/Business Use
- Room Occupancy (B&B Occupancy)
- Admissions and Dues
- Tourism Surcharge
- Rental Surcharge
- Dry Cleaning Surcharge
- Prepaid Wireles E-9-1-1 Fee.
Effective September 21, the tax types above must be filed and paid via the myconneCT portal with one exception. The TSC can be used through September 30 for payroll and non-payroll payments (CT-WH and CT-8109).
Only the tax types listed above will be processed via myconneCT. Other tax types (i.e., Corporate income tax payments, Pass-through entity tax payments) should be continued to be paid via the TSC.
On September 21, the portal will be active and you will be able to set up your account. Taxpayers can obtain their PIN that will be used to authenticate access to myconneCT from the TSC website. This PIN is available now. Once a taxpayer logs into TSC, the taxpayer’s PIN will be at the top of the page in a box. This is an example of what you will see:
It’s important to note that once the portal is active, you will only be able to see the above tax types in your portal.
