Be on the lookout for these letters from the IRS!
The IRS will be sending out two letters to taxpayers this January:
- Letter 6419- Advance Child Tax Credit Payments
- Letter 6475- Economic Impact (Stimulus) Payment
If you receive either of these letters, it is important that you save them with your tax documents for when it is time to file.
If you do not save these letters, you risk reporting the advance child tax credit or economic impact payment incorrectly which will cause delays in tax return processing and the issuance of refunds.
